Smart Tests: Overview and How to Create a Test

Smart Tests allow you to assess student reading skills and automatically record assessment results in the student’s profile.

Smart Tests can be created for an entire class or for an individual student.

There are two types of Smart Tests:

Smart Cards

Smart Cards are customizable digital flashcards designed for quick, ongoing checks of student performance. They can be used regularly to check specific skills and monitor progress over time.

For detailed instructions, see How to Create a Smart Cards Test.

Detailed Smart Tests

Detailed Smart Tests are comprehensive assessments typically given at the end of a unit to determine whether students have mastered the required criteria.

In addition to assessing specific reading skills, Detailed Smart Tests can assess other reading behaviors, such as the student’s ability to track accurately while reading.
